Returns

All returns must be postmarked within twenty-one (21) days of the purchase date. All returned items must be in new and unused condition, with original packaging.

To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be:

  • Purchased in the last 21 days
  • In its original packaging
  • The product isn’t used or damaged (unless manufacturer defect)
  • You have the original receipt or proof of purchase

 

Products that do not meet these criteria will not be considered for return unless product arrives damaged on delivery; in which case, we will exchange for a new item.

 

Return Process

To return an item(s), please email customer service at info@greenlightsdirect.com to obtain authorization. Once approved, place the item securely in its original packaging and include a signed letter stating the reason for your return and the original receipt. We will provide instructions on where to send the package. GreenLightsDirect reserves the right not to authorize product returns beyond 21 days from the purchase date. Return shipping and insurance charges are the responsibility of the customer unless notified otherwise.

 

Refunds

After receiving your return and inspecting the condition of your item, we will process your return or exchange. Please allow at least seven (7) days from the receipt of your item(s) to process your return or exchange. We will notify you by email when your return has been processed.

Any refund or exchange is contingent on the condition of the item returned to us.  All returns via UPS / FedEx / Other standard couriers must be packaged securely with packing materials to protect the item(s) in transit. Freight returns must be returned with original or equivalent packing materials.

We reserve the right to refuse returns or refunds depending on the situation associated with the return. All refunds to be issued will be temporarily postponed until such damage claims are settled with that courier. If it is determined that the damage to the return shipment was not caused by the courier, then the customer will not be entitled to any refunds and the item can be shipped back at customer’s expense.

If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer’s policies. Shipping, handling and insurance fees paid by customer are NOT included in the return or refund credit issued.

 

Exceptions

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Nutrients and soil from grow kits
  • Used items (lights, tents, ballasts, etc.)

 

Shipping Charges

Shipping charges incurred in connection with the return of a product are non-refundable. The customer is responsible to ship back the items to be returned.

You are responsible for paying the costs of shipping and for the risk of loss of or damage to the item(s) during shipping to GreenLightsDirect. We strongly recommend that you use a trackable method to mail your return.

 

Defective or Damaged items

If you received a defective or damaged product as a result of shipping, please notify customer service immediately for assistance. A replace or refund will be given at the discretion of GreenLightsDirect.

Please check the package for any physical damage before signing or receiving it. Notify the Fedex / UPS / USPS driver at the time of delivery if you notice any physical damage to the box. Products with damage delivered by Fedex, UPS or USPS shall be reported to the courier company and claim filed.

 

Warranty

Unless stated on the associated product pages on our website, there is an assumed thirty (30) day warranty. Items that break within the warranty period shall be sent back for exchange; however, the customer will be responsible to return at their cost. A replacement will only be covered under warranty if the defective item is deemed to be a manufacturer defect. Any signs of modification, product abuse, electrical surges, flood or water damage, physical damage, vandalism or other forms of abuse will not be covered under warranty. It will be up to our discretion if the warranty will be issued.

Only items purchased from GreenLightsDirect are eligible for warranty. Products sold by other companies or websites are not eligible for warranty. Returning another seller’s item to us for a warranty return is considered mail fraud and will be treated as such.

 

Please note:

  • Discounted items are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned or refunded. Only regular price items can be returned or exchanged.
  • Any item broken on arrival will be replaced free of charge once returned. Must provide proof (images of packaging and broken product).
